My Background
 
New ideas always attract my attention. I love to learn and experiment – and I believe this philosophy is reflected not only in my work today, but also throughout my professional career.  I have extensively worked with both the theoretical and practical aspects of music. In addition, I have expertise in musical therapy (one of the first in Moldova), where I worked in close collaboration with clinical psychologists to aid in the rehabilitation of a variety of patients.  For more than 25 years, I have taught piano, theory and music history.
 
I hold several graduate degrees with highest honors in the area of music education including honors in the Masters in Musicology from State Institute of Arts (Moldova) and Bachelor’s degree in Theory and Piano Pedagogy from the National College of Music.
In 1980, I received the award as the best graduate student researcher at the National competition among colleges and universities for my work.  "Genre as a System" and have an article published in the book "Music of the XX Century" – (1979 Gorkiy Conservatory, Russia).
 
Currently, I am working on two children’s books about music.
